The stock Yamaha Wolverine RMAX 1000 is built as a capable utility side-by-side — but its factory calibration leaves power and throttle feel on the table. PPEI Engine Tuning rewrites that calibration so your 2021–2026 RMAX 1000 wakes up where you actually drive: trails, property work, and loaded hauls.
Why PPEI beats stock
- More peak horsepower on the dyno — on the same stock exhaust, PPEI’s 93-octane calibration made 89.220 hp vs stock’s 85.610 hp (+3.610 hp at peak). Add an HMF single exhaust and the same PPEI file reached 90.730 hp (+5.120 hp vs stock).
- Sharper throttle response — stock mapping softens tip-in; PPEI calibrations tighten the connection between right foot and driveline so the RMAX feels immediate instead of delayed.
- Stronger usable powerband — utility machines live in the midrange. At a mid-speed dyno marker (29.289 mph), stock made 77.802 hp; PPEI on stock exhaust made 80.382 hp; PPEI with HMF single made 86.262 hp.
- Built for real RMAX work — this is a utility-type vehicle tune file for stronger, more responsive day-to-day use — not a race-only map that ignores how these machines are used.
- Exhaust-aware when you want more — the only aftermarket modification we list for this platform is exhaust. Stock-exhaust customers still get the PPEI gain over factory; HMF single is the stacked path shown on our dyno chart.
What the dyno shows (Dynojet export, SAE correction, PPEI Custom Tuning — Max Power labels from chart)
- Stock tune + stock exhaust — 85.610 hp @ 45.192 mph
- PPEI 93oct + stock exhaust — 89.220 hp @ 43.472 mph
- PPEI 93oct + HMF single exhaust — 90.730 hp @ 43.632 mph
That sequence matters: you see the improvement from the PPEI file itself, then how exhaust stacks on top. Torque (TQ) was not plotted on this particular chart. Full dyno graph is in the product gallery.
